The Unforgettable Impact of a Family Trip to Haridwar

Haridwar, a city in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, has long been considered a spiritual destination for people seeking inner peace and salvation. From the majestic temples to the holy Ganges river, Haridwar is a place that has always intrigued me since my childhood. Every year, my family and I planned to go on a spiritual retreat together in Haridwar, but somehow we could never make it happen.

One of the most important reasons for our failed attempts was our family’s busy schedule. There was always a school exam, college exam relative’s marriage, and later finally the continuous office work that clashed with our plans. But we never gave up on our dream of visiting this spiritual destination together.

Finally, in 2023, we were able to make it happen with the addition of one new member to our family.

It is a bit sad my brother couldn’t join due to his office work. We planned our trip just one day before we embarked on it. As the Hindi saying goes, “JUB BHAWAN KA BULAWA HOGA TOH TABI AAP JA SAKTE HO,” which means “when the divine call comes, only then can you go.”
